My Truthful Review of Covid-19 Vaccine Pfizer Biontech

My Truthful Review of Covid-19 Vaccine Pfizer Biontech.

On July 17, 2021 was my first dose of Pfizer Biontech. This was a priority vaccination for Tagbilaran City Residents Seafarers and OFW with the cooperation by the LGU and the Government of Tagbilaran City headed by Mayor John Jesnel "Baba" Yap. After my first dose, I felt something like nausea or feeling vomiting. But, thanks God I overcame that feeling of vomiting. On the 2nd day, I felt a little pain 2-3cm around the injected part. On the third and 4th day, the pain is vanishing. On the fifth day, totally no more pain. I did not feel any other side effects at all on the following days.

On August 7, 2021 was the 2nd dose and now I am fully vaccinated. I feel nothing unusual on that day. On the 2nd day, I felt the same pain on the injected part as in my 1st dose. A tolerable pain goes with me until on the 5th day since my 2nd dose.

I thank God for the courage and health He gave me. I thank you my dear wife for the support. I thank for the people being involved, LGU, Tagbilaran City Goverment and the Philippine Government in the vaccination program for Seafarers and OFW.

I pray and wish that the pandemic will come to an end. Stay safe and healthy everyone. God bless. To God Be The Glory.

A Father's Day Greetings From The Seafarer's Family During COVID-19 Pandemic

A Father's day greetings for a Seafarer who is onboard during COVID-19 Pandemic without crew change.

Risks Of Crew Changes During COVID-19 Pandemic

In an unexpected situation currently experiencing globally, crew changes has been postponed and cancelled. Onboard we often making discussions on how we can handle the situation in a safe and efficient way without compromising the ship's operation. Some of the crew worried about crew changes might spread the COVID onboard if not properly planned and handled by the management. For instance, if there will be one crew to be onboard for crew change. This crew is passing many places and meets people before going onboard. So, this crew might be a carrier of COVID and give risks to the whole people onboard.

Seafarers Onboard During Contract Extension Due to Covid-19 Pandemic

We have organized a league which will enable the seafarers to enjoy while waiting the crew changes. Then, we came up with an idea to raise prizes courtesy of the full force onboard. The total prize reached to 1,850 US dollars. The champion gets $ 700, 1st runner-up gets $500, 2nd runner-up $350 and the 3rd runner-up $250. Both of the crew were enjoying. At least in a while we forget the situation of Covid-19 worries, fears, workloads and etc. As being far from our family we will stay safe and perform our responsibilities. Everyone is longing to go home safely and without delays like quarantine in many days before we can reach to our home.

Key Workers

All professional Seafarers and marine personnel are considered "Key Workers"

"During health crisis, ships transported cargo of basic commodities such as grain, coal, oil and most importantly, medical supplies.

"Around 100,000 such ships carry almost 95% of the world trade. These ships are operated by close to 1.5 million Seafarers, of which 378,000 are Filipinos.
